Health and Wellbeing
Elizabeth Bond: Enjoy the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi and Qigong with qualified instructor Elizabeth. Gentle, relaxing movements and meditation to balance your energy, still your mind and unlock your creative self. www.midnorthcoast-taichi.com.au
Gretchen Highfield: Relax, revive and invigourate thru Iyengar Yoga, using props so that people of all abilities can practice this form with a qualified instructor guiding you.
Annie Baxter: Circus fun, roll up roll up for stick spinning, hullahooping, ribbon twirling, plate spinning, juggling beginners to advanced , balancing,poise spinning, giant bubble creating and more !
Ingrid Ridley: Natural soap making Learn how to make beautifully coloured, textured and fragranced soap from totally natural ingredients using everyday kitchen equipment. Then learn how this base can be used to clean just about anything in your home. Ingrid has been making soap and natural soap based cleaning products for 20 years.
Going Green—food and the future
Damian Calhoun: Get to meet and find food in all environments with knowledge drawn from many cultures. After taking a walk with Damian in the local environment, participants will understand how the land around you can provide, food, medicine and shelter. Damian is a food gatherer with a long history of gleaning and waste conversion.
Michael Jarrett: is a Gumbayngirr language expert, who teaches throughout the Gumbayngirr nation. He has prepared a fascinating introduction to language and culture for all ages to enjoy.
Michael and Nerida Blockey: The purpose of this course is to prepare families for a tougher future, a future dominated by economic decline, peak oil and climate change. Lisa Seigel has been preparing the Bellingen community for 2 years. She will outline what that community has done and lead us in a 'visioning' of what we want to do to help our Scotts Head/ Grassy Head/ Eungai communities 'transition' into a more difficult future. The rest of the 2-day course will be largely hands-on as we cover organic gardening, composting, worm farming, seed raising, seed saving, wasting less food, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Lisa Seigel: Guest speaker - How do we as families cope with peak oil and climate change. Program Director of Bellingen transition towns.
Art Drayton: specializing in alternative energy.
Creative Captivations
Tamasin Pepper: Creative Ceramics is a chance to play with clay and get creative with this very versatile and malleable medium. Create your own ceramic masterpiece, with the guidance of Tamasin, and artist working from Bellingen, who has been tutoring at camp creative for several years.
Diana O’Donnell: Diana will help you create a unique ornament using beautiful coloured glass fragments assembled and then fired into a beautiful form.
Emily King: Emily is an experienced art teacher who will show you how to develop and complete an artwork in either mosaic or printmaking techniques.
Tony Presser: use molds to create fast fun forms. This class is made fun for kids from 3 to 15. Tony has been creating sculpture for 5 years and his creative flair is infectious.
Sara Wade: Creative Acrylics Have fun exploring your creative talents and discover the versatility of acrylic paints and drawing. This workshop will emphasize an expressive approach to painting while investigating the visual elements of colour, composition, application methods, surfaces, textures and much more. Come prepared to embrace new ways and you will not be disappointed.
Leah Richards: join in on a compelling drumming circle experience. Learn rhythms together with a group of enthusiasts, and begin your Friday evening on a rhythmic high note.
Mark Winter: Learn the history of Australian leather, how to recognise different leather for different uses and learn some basic leatherworking skills.
