The largest vintage and heritage machinery show on the Coffs Coast - The Rusty Iron Rally - is gearing up for another great event on 3 and 4 September 2016.

Run by the Mid North Coast Machinery Restoration Club the Rally is an annual show held at Macksville Showground in the beautiful Nambucca Valley over the Father’s Day weekend.

The Rally has become a gathering point for display of some of the best-restored vintage, heritage and classic machinery from bygone years.

A multitude of exhibits, stalls and displays of engines will keep the whole family amused and entertained all day. Assorted market stalls will be selling a variety of old and new wares. Food and refreshments will be available on site or bring along a picnic.

This year’s exhibition of old but working machinery will again feature many hundreds of engines, tractors, model engines, model trains, rolling pins, antique radios and other memorabilia.   Feature engines of this year’s show are Australian-made Southern Cross used for engineering works and rural purposes during the last century.    The feature tractor is Fordson

Guaranteed crowd-pleasers will be the various tractor events including tractor games, races, sled pulling and a tractor triathlon.

The Grand Parade, held on both days, will feature vintage cars, trucks, tractors, motorbikes, bulldozers and crawlers.  Vintage planes will take off from Kempsey and provide a spectacular fly-over at the same time the Grand Parade is held (weather permitting). Vintage boats will also be present again on the nearby Nambucca River.

The grounds opening at 9am on both the Saturday and the Sunday. Entry is $10 adults, $ 20 family ticket, $ 7 seniors & pensioners. Macksville is easily accessible via the Pacific Highway or the Waterfall Way from the west.
